Cardiac Telemetry RN — Independence, Missouri

13-Week Contract | Days | 36 Hours Guaranteed

This cardiac telemetry unit is a fast-paced, high-acuity environment caring for a complex cardiac and neurological patient population. The ideal candidate thrives in a team-oriented setting and brings strong cardiac nursing experience.

Shift Details

• Days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule (Saturday & Sunday for days)
• 36 guaranteed hours per week

Clinical Scope

• Post-cardiac catheterization recovery (no sheath removal)
• Pacemaker placements
• Stroke patient management
• Vasoactive and antiarrhythmic drip management (amiodarone, Cardizem)
• Continuous cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation

Required Skills & Certifications

• Active ACLS certification
• Demonstrated experience with post-cath recovery
• Comfort managing stroke patients and cardiac drips
• NIHSS certification preferred

Float Requirements

May float to other telemetry departments, med-surg, or PCU as needed.

Dress Code

Grey scrubs for RNs.
