Telemetry RN — Independence, Missouri

13-Week Contract | Days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

This Telemetry unit is a fast-paced, RN-based care environment focused on high-acuity cardiac and medical patients. The unit supports continuous cardiac rhythm monitoring with individualized in-room visualization, making it an excellent environment for nurses who thrive in cardiac-focused care.

Clinical Scope

• Management of vasoactive drips
• Central line and PICC line placement
• BiPAP and high-flow nasal cannula therapy
• Enteral nutrition via feeding pumps
• Patient population includes cardiac, stroke, STEMI, and bariatric cases

Required Certifications

• BLS and ACLS (required)
• Strong advanced assessment and critical thinking skills

Shift & Scheduling

• Days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Every 3rd weekend rotation; rotating holiday schedule
• Float rotation to MedSurg units

Unit Culture

• Designated Education Unit with active learning opportunities
• Bedside shift report, hourly rounding, and daily leadership rounds are standard practice
• Unit secretaries available 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Team-oriented environment; positive, collaborative attitude valued

Dress Code

Charcoal grey scrub tops with charcoal grey or black scrub bottoms; charcoal grey or black jackets permitted, with unit-specific jacket option available.
