Pediatric Registered Nurse
Lewiston, ME | 13-Week Contract
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week
About the Role
You'll be an essential member of the Patient Care Team, delivering direct and indirect patient care to children and adolescents. Your responsibilities include:
- Executing the nursing process across all unit areas
- Delegating and supervising appropriate interventions
- Maintaining a safe care environment
- Educating patients and families
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams
This is a fast-paced role requiring composure and flexibility in high-stress situations.
Requirements
- Current Maine RN license (no license hits or disciplinary actions)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Graduate of an approved nursing program
- 1–3 years of nursing experience with children and adolescents preferred
- Basic Dysrhythmia certification preferred (can be obtained during orientation)
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training preferred (can be obtained during orientation)
- Strong team player with demonstrated ability to work under pressure
Important Notes
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius
- Up to 16 hours of orientation is unpaid
- The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week contract period
