ICU Nurse – Night Shift

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a registered nurse for a full-time night shift (7 PM – 7 AM) position in the ICU. This 13-week contract offers the opportunity to provide high-acuity critical care in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Clinical Scope

You'll care for critically ill patients requiring intensive monitoring and intervention, including:

• Intubated and sedated patients
• Chest tube management
• Continuous hemodynamic and respiratory monitoring
• Complex medication administration and treatment protocols

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation using the nursing process
• Provide routine and complex nursing care while managing clinical contingencies
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol; monitor for effectiveness and side effects
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Provide patient and family education on health conditions and care plans
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care delivered
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to achieve patient-centered outcomes

Requirements

• RN License (Texas or compact state)
• BLS certification (AHA)
• ACLS certification (AHA)
• 1 year of ICU or related critical care experience (preferred)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred)

Schedule

• 7 PM – 7 AM, full-time
• 13-week contract
• Guaranteed hours available
