NICU Travel RN — Frisco, TX | 13-Week Contract

This is an exciting opening in a newly launched NICU in Frisco, TX. The unit operates with 24/7 in-house Neonatal Nurse Practitioner coverage alongside in-house OB hospitalist and anesthesiologist support around the clock — a strong, collaborative clinical environment for experienced NICU nurses.

Shift & Schedule

• Days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Three 12-hour shifts per week
• Every other weekend required
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Contract length: 13 weeks | Start: September 2026

Clinical Scope

The unit provides care for neonatal patients requiring close monitoring and intervention, including:

• Infants on CPAP or mechanical ventilation
• Patients with central lines
• Developmental and family-centered care
• Assist with line placement, intubation, and circumcision
• Delivery stabilization and attendance

Float Requirement

Float to newborn nursery as needed.

Required Certifications & Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license (temporary licenses not accepted)
• BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications
• Minimum 2 years of NICU or relevant specialty experience

Preferred Experience

• CPAP/ventilator management
• Central line experience
• Delivery room stabilization

Dress Code

• Scrub color: Royal blue
• No nail polish, artificial nails, or gel nails
• Hair must be pulled back if shoulder-length or longer
• No visible piercings beyond ears
• No perfumes or lotions
• Tattoos should be covered when feasible
