Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Med/Surg Telemetry RN for a 13-week assignment. You'll provide direct patient care on a telemetry unit managing patients with cardiac monitoring needs and various medical-surgical diagnoses.

Shift & Schedule

• 3x12-hour rotating shifts: 7 AM–7:30 PM or 7 PM–7:30 AM
• Shifts may rotate as needed to meet operational demands; the facility will make every effort to honor your preferred shift
• Must work at least every other holiday

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care to telemetry patients
• Potential to float to related units (J1-2, J33) and the ED as needed, caring for similar patient populations
• Complete ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessments during orientation (passing score required)

Requirements

• Current, active Ohio or compact state RN license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 12 months permanent experience in med/surg nursing
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIHSS certification required
• One manager or supervisor reference from specialty experience within the past 12 months (no peer references)
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start
• Ability to pass background check and complete BCI/FBI clearance within 48 hours of contract signing

Preferred Qualifications

• Recent oncology or chemotherapy administration experience (training provided for qualified candidates)
