Medical/Surgical Telemetry RN

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Medical/Surgical Telemetry RN for a 13-week contract starting October 23, 2026. You'll deliver care to patients on telemetry monitoring in a fast-paced stepdown environment, managing post-acute and intermediate-acuity patients.

Shift & Schedule

• 3x12-hour rotating shifts: Days (7:00 AM–7:30 PM) and nights (7:00 PM–7:30 AM)
• Shifts may rotate to meet operational needs; the facility will honor schedule preferences when possible
• Mandatory holiday coverage: at least every other holiday
• Potential to float to adjacent units caring for the same patient population

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 12 months permanent RN experience in medical/surgical or telemetry nursing
• License: Permanent Ohio license or valid compact state license (in hand at start)
• Certifications (current and active):
• BLS (AHA or American Red Cross)
• ACLS
• NIHSS
• Background: No open criminal cases; clean license history
• Professional reference from a manager, charge nurse, supervisor, or director required (from past 12 months); peer references are not accepted

Onboarding & Clinical Requirements

During orientation, you will complete:

• ECG rhythm recognition assessment
• SafeMedicate competency evaluation
• Maximum 2 attempts to pass both; non-compliance results in contract cancellation
• Required facility education modules (average 6–15 hours)

This is an independent, high-accountability role. You must be comfortable with rotating schedules and occasional float assignments.
