Surgical Technologist – 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team. You will assist the circulator and surgeon in delivering safe, high-quality perioperative care while maintaining a sterile environment throughout all surgical procedures.
Shift & Schedule
- Days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Full-time (1.0 FTE)
- Flexible between 8-hour and 10-hour shifts
- On-call rotation: one weeknight call per week + every 5th weekend
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: October 5, 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room and ensure sterile technique at all times
- Assist the surgical team with instrument passing, sponge counts, and specimen handling
- Monitor the surgical field and anticipate surgeon needs
- Maintain compliance with all State and Federal healthcare regulations and facility policies
- Perform a variety of perioperative support duties
Requirements
- Current Surgical Technologist certification or eligibility
- Valid State license or registration (Vermont)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment
- Comfort with on-call availability
