Emergency Room Registered Nurse
Position Overview
The facility is a Joint Commission-accredited emergency department serving a high-volume, diverse patient population. You'll work in a fast-paced environment managing trauma, pediatric emergencies, STEMI cases, and stroke patients alongside a collaborative clinical team.
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour rotating shifts
- Variable start times: 6a, 8a, 10a, 12p, 2p, 6p
- 13-week contract
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care across the emergency department
- Manage pediatric, trauma, acute coronary syndrome, and stroke presentations
- Float to other units (Med/Surg and Critical Care) as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams
Required Qualifications
- Current California RN license
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Minimum 2+ years emergency department experience in a Level II trauma center or higher
- Experience with pediatric, trauma, STEMI, and stroke cases
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Current ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) certification
- Current TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
