Labor & Delivery RN — Seasonal Travel Contract | Austin, TX

13-Week Contract | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Rotating Weekends | No Call

This active Labor & Delivery unit manages a broad range of obstetric patients, from routine vaginal deliveries to high-acuity cases requiring surgical and interventional support. The unit handles a high volume of cases and expects candidates who are confident, independent, and comfortable in fast-moving environments.

Typical Procedures

• Spontaneous vaginal deliveries (SVD)
• Cerclages
• Cesarean sections (with RN circulation)
• TOLAC

Requirements

• 2+ years of L&D RN experience
• Active certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE
• Intermediate fetal monitoring / EFM competency
• SVE competency
• C-section circulation experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Internal fetal monitor placement competency
• Experience in high-volume obstetric settings

Shift Details

• Days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Rotating weekends
• No on-call requirements
• Guaranteed 36 hours/week

Dress Code

• Navy blue scrubs required
• No t-shirts; solid blue, black, or grey sweatshirts only

The unit is well-staffed with charge and co-charge nurse coverage on both day and night shifts. Permanent positions are available for high-performing travelers. Ideal candidates bring a positive attitude and a strong team-oriented approach to patient care.
