Emergency Department RN | Plano, TX | 13-Week Contract
This fast-paced Emergency Department opportunity is located in Plano, TX, supporting a full-service ED that manages a broad range of acute and critical presentations including chest pain, stroke, trauma, and burn cases. The unit features dedicated trauma bays, a burn room, a psychiatric room, and a vertical treatment area, reflecting the diverse and high-acuity patient population seen daily.
Shift & Schedule
- Days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
- 4 weekend shifts per month
- Self-scheduling available
Contract Details
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: September 21, 2026
Required Certifications & Licensure
- Active Texas RN license or compact license eligible
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
- SAMA, CPI, or equivalent (30-day grace period available if not currently held)

Clinical Scope
The ED handles certified chest pain, comprehensive stroke, accredited burn, and high-acuity trauma cases. Staff mix includes RNs, advanced paramedics, EMTs, and unit secretaries. A dedicated charge nurse is always present.
Floating
No mandatory float within the facility; cross-training to a sister facility may be available.
Dress Code
Royal blue scrubs (branded preferred)
