Emergency Department RN — Pasadena, TX
Evenings | 13-Week Contract
This Emergency Department travel opportunity is located in Pasadena, Texas. The position covers a mid-to-overnight shift (3:00 PM–3:00 AM) with 36 guaranteed hours per week and alternating weekend requirements.
About the Unit
The ED manages high-acuity adult and pediatric patients, with a strong focus on trauma, STEMI, stroke, and sepsis. Common procedures include thoracotomies, arterial line placement, and massive transfusion protocol (MTP). The team operates with advanced monitoring equipment, defibrillators, ultrasound, and EKG machines.
Clinical Requirements
Candidates must demonstrate advanced critical thinking and extensive hands-on experience with trauma, STEMI, stroke, and sepsis presentations. Adult and pediatric ED experience is strongly preferred.
Required Certifications
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- ENPC
- TNCC
- CPI with TIC
- NRP and STABLE (preferred)
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM
- Guaranteed Hours: 36/week
- Alternating weekends required
Float
Occasional float to freestanding ED locations may be required.
Dress Code
Royal blue scrubs per facility dress code policy.
