Cardiac Surgery Operating Room (CVOR) – 13-Week Travel Assignment

Shift & Schedule

• Days: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Orientation: First week is 5x8-hour shifts (Mon–Fri); additional orientation may extend to 12-hour shifts as needed
• On-call: 4 call shifts per 13-week contract (days/hours vary)
• Weekend: On-call basis; no holiday requirement
• Float: May float to other OR services (General, Urology, ENT) if cardiac volume decreases — typically once weekly on average

Requirements

• License: PA or compact state license required at submission
• Experience: Minimum 3 years in cardiac surgery
• Clinical Skills: Must scrub and circulate for:
• CABGs
• Aortic and mitral valve repairs/replacements
• Heart transplants
• Dissections
• LVADs
• Preferred: Vascular and thoracic surgery experience (EVAR, TEVAR, TECAR, open AAA)
• Certifications: BLS current
• First-time travelers: Accepted with appropriate experience

• 32 operating rooms
• Adult and geriatric patients

• Scrubs provided

Compliance Notes

• Valid state license and certifications required at time of submission
• RTO must be submitted at application; no time off during pre-start compliance window
• Local rate differential applies within 50-mile radius
