L&D and Postpartum Registered Nurse
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour nights (7 PM – 7 AM)
- Every other weekend
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Self-scheduling with manager coordination; schedules set 30–45 days in advance
- Optional call available
- 13-week contract
About the Unit
You'll work in a combined L&D, well-baby nursery, and postpartum unit managing approximately 30–40 deliveries per month. The unit serves high-risk deliveries (35 weeks and above), neonatal withdrawals, and twin pregnancies. Postpartum occasionally receives post-op gynecological patients.
Your Role
- Manage labor and delivery independently with strong clinical judgment
- Provide evidence-based fetal monitoring and neonatal support
- Collaborate with 4 OB/GYNs, 2 midwives, and 24/7 respiratory therapy
- Orientation: 2–3 days floor-specific training
Required Qualifications
- RN license (active)
- BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certifications
- NCC Certified Inpatient OB (RNC-OB)
- Must have prior experience in both L&D and postpartum nursing
- Team-oriented with ability to manage deliveries independently

Rare float to med-surg or CCU only if desired.
