Night Shift Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced RN for a 12-hour night shift position (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) on the medical-surgical telemetry unit. This is a 13-week contract with guaranteed 72 hours biweekly. You'll work every other weekend with no float requirement between units.

Clinical Scope

You'll care for a diverse patient population including surgical and medical patients requiring telemetry monitoring. As there are no telemetry technicians on this unit, all RNs are responsible for reading and interpreting their own ECG strips. You must be comfortable with dysrhythmia recognition and medication management in a fast-paced acute care setting.

Required Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts RN license
• Minimum 2+ years recent acute medical-surgical telemetry nursing experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Flu vaccination (medical exemptions only)
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems

Pre-Acceptance Testing

You must pass two assessments prior to acceptance with an 85% passing score (one attempt only):

• Dysrhythmia recognition test (20 questions)
• Medication test (20 questions)

Testing is conducted via Zoom and must be completed within 48 hours of confirmation. A study guide will be provided.

Additional Requirements

• Must have been separated from the facility for 6+ months and in good standing
