Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical/Telemetry

Position Overview

The facility seeks an experienced RN to join its Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit. You'll provide comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care to adults with medical, surgical, and cardiac conditions in a dynamic clinical environment.

Clinical Scope

You will:

• Monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs continuously, recognizing and responding promptly to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments, including cardiac drips, per physician orders
• Manage pre- and post-operative patients, including wound care and pain management
• Coordinate care for patients with chronic and acute conditions (diabetes, cardiac, respiratory diagnoses)
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with physicians, cardiologists, case managers, and the interdisciplinary team on care coordination and discharge planning
• Document assessments, interventions, and responses accurately in the patient record
• Support a typical patient load of 4–6 patients per shift, with variations based on acuity
• Ensure infection control and fall prevention protocols are consistently followed

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (or compact license as applicable)
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 1+ years of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience
• Telemetry/EKG interpretation competency required
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy

Schedule

• First shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Weekends and holidays as needed
• 13-week contract
• Start date: November 2, 2026
