Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical/Telemetry

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced RN to join its Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit. You'll provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with medical, surgical, and cardiac conditions, with a focus on continuous cardiac monitoring and evidence-based practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs continuously, recognizing and responding promptly to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments, including cardiac drips, per physician orders
• Manage pre- and post-operative care, including wound management and pain control
• Coordinate discharge planning with case management and other team members
• Provide patient and family education on conditions, treatments, medications, and discharge instructions
• Ensure accurate documentation in the electronic health record
• Maintain infection control and fall prevention protocols
• Typically manage 4–6 patients per shift, depending on unit acuity

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license (or compact license as applicable)
• ADN minimum; BSN preferred
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 1+ years of Med-Surg/Telemetry experience
• Demonstrated telemetry/EKG interpretation competency
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Schedule

• 3rd shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Weekends and holidays as needed
• 13-week contract
• Start date: November 2, 2026
