Surgical Technologist – Vascular Surgery
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Surgical Technologist to serve as primary scrub for vascular surgical procedures. You'll work in a fast-paced OR environment, managing sterile fields, anticipating surgeon needs, and collaborating closely with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Pre-case: Prepare and set up sterile fields, instruments, and supplies; verify all equipment is sterilized and available
- Intraoperative: Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons; maintain sterile technique; perform accurate instrument, sponge, and needle counts; anticipate procedural needs; monitor for breaks in technique
- Post-case: Collaborate on room turnover and terminal cleaning; perform gross decontamination of instruments; notify leadership of any damaged equipment; ensure room is stocked and ready for the next case
- General: Maintain compliance with all facility policies, safety standards, and competency assessments
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
- Current BLS certification
- CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) or TS-C (Tech in Surgery – Certified) certification
- 1+ years of surgical tech experience
- Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation, sterile technique, and procedural anatomy
Schedule & Contract
- Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM
- Duration: 26 weeks
- Call: Every other day and every other weekend
- Start: October 15, 2026
