Operating Room Nurse – 12-Hour Rotation
About the Role
The facility's surgical services department is seeking an experienced OR nurse for a 13-week contract. You'll work in a 17-room operating suite staffed 24/7, supporting a diverse range of surgical specialties.
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour day/night rotation: 7 AM (days) or 7 PM (nights)
- Every 3rd weekend as needed
- Every other holiday
- 1x on-call per schedule
- May float to other OR areas as needed
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years inpatient OR experience
- Scrub experience required
- Current BLS certification
- Competence in at least 5 of the following surgical services: general, GYN, GU, oral, OTO, bariatrics, ortho, neuro, vascular, thoracic, cardiac, plastics, podiatry, robotics, pediatrics, trauma, or spine
Preferred Qualifications
- Level 1 trauma experience
- Neuro and vascular surgery background
- Experience beyond general, GYN, and GU scrubbing
