Telemetry RN — Night Shift | North Charleston, SC

13-Week Contract | 3 × 12-Hour Nights (19:00–07:00)

This telemetry unit cares for a mix of cardiac monitoring and post-procedure patients, including those recovering from PCI, pacemaker implantation, ICD placement, and cardiac ablations. Nurses manage cardiac drips (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitroglycerin, Dobutamine) and are expected to be proficient in continuous telemetry strip interpretation.

Schedule & Float Expectations

• Three 12-hour night shifts per week
• Every other weekend and holidays rotated with staff employees
• Travelers float first; possible rotation to the ED for inpatient holds, the telemetry monitoring room, or the PCU

Clinical Responsibilities

• Manage up to six telemetry and post-cath lab patients per shift
• Administer respiratory treatments (inhalers and nebulizers) outside the ICU
• Perform phlebotomy and Foley catheter care using nurse-driven removal protocols
• Conduct bedside shift report, AIDET communication, and participate in RN/MD rounding
• Develop plans of care each shift with physician and ancillary collaboration, including discharge planning and patient education

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• Minimum 30 months of RN nursing experience
• At least one prior successful travel nursing assignment
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certification required

• Guaranteed hours: 48 per week
