Night Shift Progressive Care Nurse
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Progressive Care Nurse for a 13-week contract on the cardiac unit. This night shift role (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) offers the opportunity to provide high-quality care to patients with complex cardiac conditions in a collaborative, supportive environment.
Unit Overview
Required Qualifications & Experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Stepdown or progressive care experience
- Telemetry experience
- Proficiency with titratable cardiac IV medications (nitroglycerin, Cardizem, amiodarone, dopamine, dobutrex, insulin drip, heparin, Lasix/Bumex)
Preferred Experience
- Prostacyclin administration (Flolan, Veletri, Remodulin)
- Relief charge nurse experience
Clinical Scope
You'll perform bedside cardioversion and manage monitored, high-acuity cardiac patients. Float responsibilities include medical-surgical units, other stepdown units, and ER holding.
Schedule & Dress Code
- Every other weekend rotation
- All white or all navy blue scrubs (or white top with navy blue pants)
