Orthopedics Nurse – 13-Week Contract

About the Role
Join the orthopedic team at the facility's busy surgical and acute care unit. You'll support patients across the orthopedic spectrum—from post-operative care following joint replacements and fracture repairs to trauma patients requiring specialized orthopedic intervention. The unit manages a range of acuities and works closely with an active robotic and minimally invasive surgery program.
What You'll Do
- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume orthopedic setting
- Assist with post-surgical recovery and pain management
- Monitor for complications and report changes in patient status
- Collaborate with surgeons, therapists, and the interprofessional team
- Support patient education on mobility, rehabilitation, and discharge planning
Requirements
- Current RN license in North Carolina
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
- Experience in orthopedic or surgical nursing preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
