Emergency Room RN – Freestanding Emergency Department

Pasadena, TX | Mid-Evening to Early Morning Shift | 13-Week Contract

This freestanding emergency department is seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN for a 13-week travel assignment beginning November 2, 2026. The unit operates around the clock managing a broad range of emergency presentations across all acuity levels, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and patient experience.

Shift & Schedule

• 15:00–03:00
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Weekends as needed or every other — no on-call requirement

Clinical Scope

Clinicians will manage acute and emergent patients performing IV starts, blood draws, moderate sedation, and splinting. The department handles cardiac monitoring and respiratory support, as well as neurological assessment using NIHSS.

Required Certifications & Licensure

• Active RN License
• ACLS, BLS, PALS
• TNCC
• NIHSS
• CPI

Preferred Certifications

• ENPC
• NRP

Float

Floating to a sister freestanding ED location may be required on an as-needed basis.

Dress Code

• Royal blue scrubs
• Closed-toed shoes (no open-hole clogs)
• No acrylic/false nails, earbuds, or smart glasses
• Personal stethoscope required

Ideal Candidate

Strong team player with a patient-centered approach and solid emergency nursing fundamentals. Candidates without required certifications will not be considered.
