Emergency Room (FSED) — Travel RN | Houston, TX Area

Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week

About the Unit

This freestanding emergency department provides fast-paced, full-scope emergency care to adult and pediatric patients. The unit handles a broad range of acuity levels, with strong emphasis on team-based care and patient experience.

Clinical Scope & Procedures

• IV starts and blood draws
• Moderate sedation
• Splinting
• Cardiac monitoring and resuscitation

Required Certifications & Licensure

• Active RN License (Texas or compact)
• ACLS, BLS, PALS
• TNCC
• NIHSS
• CPI

Preferred Certifications

• ENPC
• NRP

Ideal Candidate

• Team-oriented with a strong patient experience focus
• Comfortable in a high-volume emergency setting with varied acuity

Dress Code

• Royal blue scrubs
• Closed-toed shoes (no open-hole clogs)
• No false nails, earbuds, or smart glasses
• Stethoscope required

Scheduling

• Weekends as needed or every other weekend
• No on-call requirements

Float

• May float to a nearby freestanding ED location as needed
