Certified Surgical Technologist — Operating Room
Position Overview
The facility's Surgery Department seeks an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist for a 13-week contract. You'll join a dynamic surgical team performing a broad range of procedures including endocrine, breast, oncologic, gastrointestinal, colon/rectal (open and laparoscopic), and hepatobiliary surgeries.
Schedule & Contract Details
- Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–5:30 PM (10-hour shifts)
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: October 26, 2026
- On-call: Yes; call-back pay at 1.25× rate
- Holiday Flexibility: Required to work Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year holiday blocks as scheduled
Key Responsibilities
- Primary scrubbing role in the OR; assist with circulating duties as needed
- Maintain aseptic technique and ensure a calm, quiet surgical environment
- Prepare the OR suite; manage and maintain specialized equipment and supplies
- Communicate effectively with the surgical team and adapt quickly to high-stress situations
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years current CST experience
- NBSTSA certification (current, within 1 year)
- High proficiency in orthopedics, total joint surgery, and neurosurgery
- Scrubbing experience in general, orthopedic, neuro, and endoscopic surgeries
- Active American Heart Association BLS
- New Hampshire Medical Technician Registration
- Own vehicle for transportation
