CCU Traveler Nurse – 13-Week Contract
About the Role
You'll deliver comprehensive care to high-acuity cardiac and stroke patients in the facility's CCU. Your scope includes adult cardiac/telemetry monitoring, stroke care, vascular intervention support, and hemodynamic monitoring. You'll work collaboratively with the care team to assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient outcomes while maintaining professional nursing standards.
Schedule & Commitment
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (36 hours/week, with potential for overtime)
- Rotation: Every other weekend and holiday required
- On-call: You may occasionally be placed on call during low-census periods; if called in, you must be able to arrive on-site within one hour
- Duration: 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- EMR experience within the last 12 months in a cardiac or telemetry unit
- Important: Upon acceptance, you'll be responsible for self-studying telemetry strips. A basic dysrhythmia test will be administered during your first week; you must pass this assessment to work in the CCU.
What to Expect
Standard onboarding credentials and health screenings will be required, including background check, drug screening, immunizations, and fit testing.
