Dialysis RN — Inpatient Acute Dialysis | Des Moines, IA

Contract: 13 weeks | Start: October 26 | Shift: Days, Monday–Friday, 3×12s (7a–7p), 36 hrs/week

This inpatient dialysis position serves a high-acuity patient population including remote telemetry monitoring, ICU patients, and those requiring dialysis for AKI and ESRD. The role floats across multiple campuses within the same health system.

Schedule & On-Call

• Weekday days, 7a–7p
• Holiday rotation required (1–2 holidays per contract period)
• On-call: Monday–Friday, 7–10 PM; Saturday 7 PM–7 AM; Sunday 7 AM–7 PM or 7 PM–6 AM (weekend on-call rotates among staff — approximately every 3rd weekend)

Scrubs: Navy blue, solids

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 24 months of dialysis experience, including inpatient/acute dialysis
• Hemodialysis experience with Fresenius machines
• Telemetry read/measure experience
• Active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate license at time of submission
• BLS (AHA or ARC)
• Driver's license
• No first-time travelers

Preferred

• Peritoneal dialysis experience
• Professional reference (charge nurse, supervisor, or manager) within the past 24 months

Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility. This position is not open to individuals who have worked at this health system as an FTE or PRN within the past 12 months.
