Stepdown Unit – Night Shift Nurse
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse for its stepdown unit on a 12-hour night shift schedule (7 PM – 7 AM). This is a 13-week contract with potential for extension.
Shift Details
- 12-hour nights: 7 PM – 7 AM
- Every other weekend rotation
- First-to-float between units as needed
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
Unit Overview
You'll work in a fast-paced acute care stepdown environment, providing direct patient care to patients transitioning from intensive care or requiring close monitoring. The unit manages a range of acuities and patient populations requiring skilled assessment, frequent vital sign monitoring, medication management, and coordination of care.
Requirements
- Current, valid RN license
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- NIHSS certification
- BSN preferred but not required
Important Notes
- The hospital reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts during this 13-week assignment
