Operating Room – Circulator/Scrub RN | West Burlington, IA
4 x 10 | Days | 13-Week Contract | Start: November 9, 2026
This surgical services role places you at the center of a busy, multi-specialty OR, delivering intra-operative nursing care across the full continuum — from assessment and planning through implementation and evaluation.
Primary Responsibilities
- Circulating and instrumenting a wide range of surgical procedures
- First assisting surgeons and anesthesia providers as needed
- Serving in a resource nurse capacity
- Providing patient education perioperatively
Surgical Specialties Supported
ENT, General, Orthopedics (including Spine), Podiatry, Dental/Oral Surgery, Pain Management, Ophthalmology, Urology, OB/Gynecology (including C-sections), Vascular, and Bariatric.
Schedule
- Shift: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Alternating weeks: 30 hours (week one) / 40 hours (week two) — 70 hours per two-week period
- Call required: approximately 70–80 hours per 4-week period; 30-minute response time
Requirements
- Active RN license
- Prior OR experience with circulating and/or scrubbing
- Electronic health record proficiency required
- Must be prepared to meet standard health and immunization requirements upon onboarding (TB, MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tdap, Influenza, COVID-19, Fit Test)
This is a strong opportunity for an experienced OR nurse comfortable across multiple specialties who can manage both elective and call-based cases in a collaborative surgical environment.
