Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse — Night Shift
About the Role
Join the facility's PCU as a night shift nurse, providing care to patients across a range of acute and post-procedural conditions. You'll work as part of an interdisciplinary team managing patients with CHF, stroke, sepsis, and those recovering from procedures including ablation, angiogram, TCAR, EVAR, and pacemaker placement.
Shift & Schedule
- Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Guaranteed: 36 hours per week
- Contract: 13 weeks
- Weekends/Holidays: Every other weekend required
- Floating: Required to all inpatient units and the Emergency Department
Clinical Details
- First-time travelers welcome
- 2+ years of nursing experience required
- May float across local campuses within the same discipline
Requirements
- Active Iowa or compact state nursing license
- Active BLS certification (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military accepted)
- Active ACLS certification (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military accepted)
- Active NIHSS Certification
- Valid driver's license
- One supervisory reference form (completed within 2 years)
