Labor & Delivery — Travel RN | Wichita, KS

This 13-week travel assignment places you in an active Labor and Delivery unit on a day shift schedule (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM), with 36 guaranteed hours per week.

Unit & Clinical Scope

You'll work within a dedicated L&D environment supporting patients through antepartum, intrapartum, and immediate postpartum care. The unit manages a broad range of obstetric cases, from routine vaginal deliveries to higher-acuity situations requiring close maternal-fetal monitoring and rapid intervention.

Schedule

• Shift: Days, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Anticipated Start: November 1, 2026

Dress Code

Ceil blue scrubs required.

Required Credentials (for submission)

• Active RN license (Nursys verification)
• L&D skills checklist
• Two professional references

Immunizations & Health Requirements

• MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Hepatitis B, Influenza
• 2-Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/T-Spot)
• Respiratory fit test
• Health statement

Additional Onboarding Requirements

• Core competency and specialty assessments
• EKG exam
• Point-of-care glucose training
• Criminal background check and drug screen (11-panel)
• Education and employment verification

Candidates must hold a valid RN license in Kansas or a compact state license. Strong L&D clinical experience and the ability to manage high-acuity obstetric patients independently are essential for success in this role.
