Cardiac Stepdown Nurse
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced cardiac nurse for its stepdown unit. You'll provide skilled care to patients transitioning from critical care, managing post-operative cardiac patients, those with acute coronary syndromes, and others requiring telemetry monitoring and close observation.
Schedule & Contract
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
- Contract Duration: 90 weeks
- Start Date: November 9, 2026
Requirements
- Minimum 18 months of nursing experience with strong cardiac background
- AHA BLS certification (current)
- Valid Georgia or compact nursing license
What You'll Do
Work alongside a collaborative team caring for patients with cardiac conditions including post-cardiac surgery recovery, arrhythmias, acute MI, and heart failure. You'll monitor telemetry, manage IV medications, assess hemodynamic stability, and coordinate care transitions with intensive care and medical-surgical units.
