Certified Surgical Technologist – Operating Room
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team. You will provide direct surgical and nursing care in accordance with established protocols, implement and monitor patient care plans, coordinate care across disciplines, and communicate patient conditions to the healthcare team. You'll also assist with discharge planning coordination.
Shift & Schedule
- Days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday
- Hours: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Clinical Focus
This role requires strong experience in orthopedic and neurosurgical cases, robotic-assisted procedures across multiple specialties, and ENT surgery. You'll work in a fast-paced OR environment requiring critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to function independently under pressure.
Required Credentials & Qualifications
- NBSTSA (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification required
- Current nursing license (Nursys verification required)
- Strong ortho and neuro surgical experience
- Experience with robotic-assisted surgical procedures
- ENT surgical knowledge
- Ability to follow Standard Precautions and use PPE appropriately
