Certified Surgical Technologist

Position Overview

Join the operating room team as a Certified Surgical Technologist. You'll prepare sterile fields, handle surgical instruments, and provide direct support to surgeons across multiple specialties in a dynamic surgical environment.

Shift & Schedule

• Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (5/8 shifts)
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: September 27, 2026
• On-call required
• Holiday and weekend work expected

Clinical Scope

This role encompasses:

• Pre-operative setup of sterile equipment and patient prep
• Intra-operative instrument passing and tissue retraction assistance
• Post-operative duties including dressing application and specimen preparation
• Work across orthopedic trauma, neurosurgery, robotic-assisted procedures, and ENT specialties

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain strict sterile field protocols throughout procedures
• Anticipate surgeon needs and provide timely instrument assistance
• Document and prepare surgical specimens appropriately
• Communicate effectively with the surgical team

Requirements

• Current CST certification (Certified Surgical Technologist)
• Valid state license
• BLS or equivalent certification
• Ability to work in a high-acuity, fast-paced OR environment
• Critical thinking and decisive judgment required
• Standard Precautions and PPE compliance

Qualifications

Extensive experience in orthopedic trauma, neuro, and/or robotic-assisted surgery preferred.
