Emergency Room RN – Travel Contract | Newburgh, NY

Shift: 12-Hour Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Contract Duration: 12 weeks | Start Date: October 12, 2026

Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week

About the Role

This Emergency Department position serves an acute care facility managing a high-volume, fast-paced patient population. Candidates must be comfortable working in a high-acuity environment with demanding patient ratios and a broad range of emergency presentations across adult and pediatric populations.

Schedule & Requirements

• 12-hour night shifts with weekend and holiday rotation required
• No on-call or standby requirement
• No floating requirement
• Scrubs: Dark Blue or White

Required Certifications & Licensure

• Active New York RN License
• ACLS, BLS, PALS
• NIHSS (AHA or APEX accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience preferred

Competency Exams

Upon placement, travelers complete unit-specific competency exams with a minimum passing score of 80%:

• Medication Test (Adult & Pediatric): 20 questions; multiple choice and fill-in; formula sheet and calculator provided
• Dysrhythmia Recognition Exam: 16 rhythm strips requiring rhythm identification and appropriate treatment/intervention
