Respiratory Therapist – Acute Care

Position Overview

Join the respiratory therapy team on a 13-week contract providing care across multiple acute care settings. You'll work three 12-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), with guaranteed 36 hours weekly.

Clinical Scope

You'll manage 30–40 treatments daily across inpatient and outpatient areas, including the ER, medical-surgical floors, pediatrics, labor & delivery, nursery, ICU, sleep lab, OR, and PACU. Patient populations include adults, pediatrics, and neonates presenting with conditions such as STEMI, CVA, arrest, IABP, and post-COVID complications. Hospitalists and intensivists are available 24/7.

Key Responsibilities

• Draw ABGs and occasionally perform EKGs
• Assist with intubation
• Provide respiratory support across all listed clinical areas
• Complete all required assessments and treatments

Requirements

• Current RRT license
• Minimum 1 year respiratory therapy experience
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
• Ability to work nights and every other weekend
• Flexible scheduling to cover staffing needs
