Labor & Delivery Nurse
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery nurse for a 13-week travel contract in Atlanta, GA.
Schedule & Contract Details
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (three 12-hour shifts per week, 36 hours/week)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: November 2, 2026
- Guaranteed Hours: Yes
Role Expectations
You'll work in a busy L&D unit, managing the full spectrum of labor and delivery care—from admission and labor support through delivery and immediate postpartum recovery. You'll collaborate with OB/GYN physicians, midwives, anesthesia, and nursing staff to ensure safe, compassionate care for mothers and newborns. Float assignments within the obstetric department may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in Georgia
- Current BLS certification (ACLS and NRP preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of recent L&D experience
- Ability to work independently and as part of a high-functioning team
What We're Looking For
Strong clinical assessment skills, comfort with both routine and high-risk deliveries, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Experience with fetal monitoring, labor induction, and emergency situations is essential.
