Polysomnography Technologist – Pediatric Sleep Lab
Position Overview
Join the Sleep Lab as a Polysomnography Technologist on the night shift. You'll perform sleep studies on medically complex pediatric patients in a specialized clinical environment, working collaboratively with respiratory managers and the clinical team.
Shift & Schedule
- Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, nights
- Days: Weekends and holidays as scheduled
- Contract: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
- Floating: First to float within department
- Call: No call or standby requirements
Required Qualifications
- BLS (AHA)
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) via BRPT *OR* Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) via NBRC
- Minimum 18 months sleep lab experience *OR* 1 year respiratory therapist experience
- West Virginia licensure (LRTR or LRTC) *OR* Pennsylvania respiratory therapist certification as applicable
- Pediatric sleep study experience preferred; comfort with medically complex children required
Key Responsibilities
- Perform 2 sleep studies per shift in the Sleep Lab
- Conduct studies at bedside and in critical care areas
- Follow established policies and procedure guidelines
- Document studies in the facility's charting system
Work Environment
Pediatric-focused facility with on-site respiratory management support and comprehensive department-specific orientation. Scrub color to be confirmed at onboarding.
