Position: ICU Nurse – Overflow ED Unit

Location: Atlanta, GA

Shift: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

3 × 12-hour shifts per week (Monday–Wednesday)

36 hours/week

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

License & Certification Requirements:

• RN license (GA or compact state)
• NIHSS certification required

About the Role:

The facility is opening a pilot overflow area within the Emergency Department to care for ICU-level patients. This is a temporary initiative currently operating Monday through Wednesday, with potential for expansion.

You'll manage high-acuity patients transitioning from the ICU in a structured, block-scheduled environment. The ideal candidate brings solid ICU experience and welcomes the opportunity to work in a fast-paced ED setting.

• Strong ICU clinical foundation (critical care assessment, hemodynamic monitoring, complex medication management)
• Ability to adapt to a hybrid ICU/ED workflow
• Comfort with variable patient acuity and rapid decision-making
