Travel RN – Telemetry | Night Shift | La Jolla, CA

This 13-week travel contract places an experienced Telemetry RN on a busy med-surg/telemetry unit caring for adult and geriatric patients across a multi-campus health system. The unit manages a diverse patient population including ortho, general surgery, urology, telemetry, and trauma diagnoses.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3x12-hour shifts
• 4 weekend shifts per 4-week cycle (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights qualify as weekends)
• At least one holiday shift required, including the holiday weekend
• Float required: may float to like or lower-acuity units across up to five campuses (ED excluded)

Required Certifications

• AHA BLS
• ACLS
• NIHSS

Clinical Skills & Scope

Candidates should be proficient in telemetry and remote monitoring, cardiac drip management, central and PICC line care, heparin protocols, IV insulin and thrombolytic administration, BiPAP/HFNC management, intracranial bleed and TBI care, seizure management, pre/post cardiac cath and surgery care, wound vac, surgical drains, traction, pacemaker management, and PCA.

Minimum Requirements

• 2+ years of concurrent telemetry/med-surg experience
• Travel RN experience required
• Active California RN license (Temp or Perm) required at time of submission
• No candidates residing within 100 miles of the facility
• Max 7 days RTO; no new RTO requests after submission
• One supervisory reference required
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
