Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN — Night Shift | Greeneville, TN

13-Week Travel Contract | Nights 3x12 (18:30–07:00)

This Med-Surg Telemetry unit serves an adult and geriatric population across two units, covering a broad range of diagnoses including general medical-surgical, telemetry monitoring, orthopedics, urology, gastroenterology, respiratory conditions, and comfort/palliative care.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM | 3x12-hour shifts
• 36/36 schedule; every other weekend required
• No call required
• Floating required to cover Med-Surg type patients

Clinical Scope & Skills Required

• Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
• Central and PICC line management, port access, chest tube care
• Tracheostomy care, BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula
• Blood product administration, heparin and insulin drips
• Wound care/wound vac, surgical drains, colostomy/ileostomy care
• Rapid Response/Code Team participation
• Support for nursing students is an expected part of this role

Interdisciplinary Support Available

Physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, phlebotomy, and unit secretarial support.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg/Telemetry RN experience
• Active RN or LPN license
• AHA BLS and ACLS (AHA-issued only)
• Must reside 100+ miles from the facility's service area
• EKG competency test required within 72 hours of offer acceptance (two attempts allowed)
• Drug screening required 12–14 days prior to start
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Orientation: 72 hours; begins Sundays with online modules
