Labor & Delivery – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery nurse for a 13-week contract assignment. You'll work the night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) in a busy L&D unit managing labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
What You'll Do
- Provide direct care to laboring patients and those in early postpartum recovery
- Assist with vaginal deliveries and monitor patients during labor progression
- Support cesarean deliveries as part of the surgical team
- Manage fetal monitoring, medications, and patient education
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain a safe, compassionate environment for families during this critical time
What We're Looking For
- Current RN license (Tennessee)
- Active L&D or OB nursing experience required
- BLS and PALS certifications
- Strong assessment and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Assignment Details
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (nights)
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Start Date: August 24, 2026
- Location: Chattanooga, Tennessee area
