Labor & Delivery Nurse – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery nurse for night shifts (19:00–07:00). This is a 26-week contract beginning October 19, 2026.
Shift & Schedule
- 3 x 12-hour nights per week (4 x 12 available upon request)
- 48 guaranteed hours per pay period
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of application
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of nursing experience with mandatory labor and postpartum experience
- Current certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP
- Valid Compact state license (must be in hand at submission)
- At least 1 year of L&D experience
Preferred Qualifications
- AWHONN Advanced certification
Clinical Scope
You'll provide comprehensive care across labor, delivery, and postpartum settings, including:
- Labor management and high-risk deliveries
- Cesarean section support and recovery
- Fetal monitoring and neonatal resuscitation
- Postpartum and newborn care
- Patient education and lactation support
Orientation
36–40 hours of structured orientation to ensure competency and confidence.
Additional Information
- Scrubs: Royal blue or navy blue
- May float between sister facilities as needed
- 2 professional references required (covering 1 year within the last 3 years)
