Labor & Delivery RN – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a 13-week night shift contract. You'll join a busy maternity unit delivering comprehensive care to laboring patients, postpartum mothers, and neonates.
Shift & Schedule
- 3x12-hour nights (19:00–07:00), with 4x12 available upon request
- Start Date: October 19, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 48 per week; facility may call off once per two-week pay period
- Float Required: Yes, between like units
- Weekend Coverage: Per unit needs; must commit to working 3 of 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of active labor and postpartum nursing experience (first-timers accepted)
- Active RN license (Compact license required at submission)
- ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP certifications
- AWHONN Advanced certification preferred
- Valid state license in hand at time of submission
Clinical Scope
You'll manage the full spectrum of L&D care: vaginal and cesarean deliveries, high-risk obstetrics (preeclampsia, HELLP syndrome, postpartum hemorrhage), fetal monitoring, neonatal resuscitation, couplet care, and postpartum recovery. You'll work with patients across the perineum—from labor through recovery—providing patient education and breastfeeding support.
Orientation: 36 hours
Dress Code: Royal Blue or Navy Blue scrubs

- You may be asked to float to nearby sister facilities; refusal may result in loss of guaranteed hours
