Registered Nurse – Stepdown Unit, Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its stepdown unit, working night shifts in a dynamic patient care environment.
Shift & Contract Details
- Schedule: 3x12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: October 19, 2026
- Location: Los Angeles, CA
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of RN experience
- Current California nursing license
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (in hand)
- Charge nurse experience required
- Patient ratio and charting system experience essential
Clinical Scope
You'll care for diverse patient populations in a stepdown setting, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. The unit manages patients transitioning from higher acuity care.
Charting & Systems
The facility uses Paragon for documentation. Training will be provided.
Floating
You must be available to float in rotation with staff to other units as needed, with appropriate orientation provided.
Onboarding
Within 30 days of your start date, you'll complete two required courses:
- Assaultive Behavior training
- Fire Card certification
Additional Notes
- Local candidates welcome
- RTO (request time off) must be submitted at time of application
- No DUI background hits accepted
- COVID-19 vaccination required; flu vaccination status unknown
