Labor and Delivery – 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
Join the Labor and Delivery team for a 13-week assignment. You'll provide direct care to antepartum, labor, and postpartum patients in a busy unit handling 100–300+ deliveries per month. This role includes care for high-risk antepartum cases and Level I nursery support.
Shift & Schedule
- Days: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Float requirement: Yes, per facility floating policies
- Weekend coverage: Required
Required Qualifications
- Current California RN license
- Minimum 3 years Labor and Delivery experience
- BLS, ACLS, NRP
- AWHONN certification (Advanced or Intermediate) or C-EFM
- Proficiency with Paragon charting system (training provided)
Important Notes
- Candidates must submit Requested Time Off (RTO) at the time of application; no time off requests approved after offer
- COVID-19 vaccination required; no exemptions
- Two mandatory onsite courses must be completed within 30 days of start: Assaultive Behavior and Fire Card
- Background check required; DUI convictions will disqualify
- Documentation due 2 Mondays prior to start date
