Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its Intensive Care Unit. You'll provide direct patient care in a dynamic, high-acuity environment managing critically ill patients across medical, neuro, surgical, and trauma populations.
Shift & Schedule
- Days: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: October 19, 2026
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience
- Current California RN license
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Charting system training provided (Paragon); prior experience helpful but not required
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct bedside care to critically ill patients
- Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and manage complex medical equipment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Float to other units (medical/surgical, step-down, telemetry) as needed, based on clinical experience and facility floating policies
Onboarding
You'll complete two required courses within 30 days of your start date:
- Assaultive Behavior Course
- Fire Card Course
Full orientation to the unit will be provided.
Important Notes
- Time-off requests must be submitted at the time of application; requests submitted after an offer is extended cannot be approved
- Documentation due 2 weeks prior to your start date
- COVID-19 vaccination required; no exemptions
