Emergency Department Nurse – Los Angeles, CA
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Emergency Department nurse for a 13-week contract. You'll provide care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced, dynamic environment managing both adult and pediatric patients across all acuity levels.
Shift & Schedule
- Mid shifts: 1:00 PM – 1:00 AM or 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM
- 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
- 91 guaranteed hours
- Flexibility required; floating to other units in rotation per facility policy
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
- Current California RN license
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
- No DUI background hits
Clinical Scope
You'll manage the full spectrum of emergency presentations, including trauma patients. Training on the facility's charting system will be provided.
Onboarding
Two required courses must be completed within 30 days of your start date:
- Assaultive Behavior course
- Fire Card course
Important Notes
- Time off requests must be submitted at application; changes after offer are not approved
- Documentation is due 2 Mondays prior to start date
- Start date: October 19, 2026
