Imaging Technologist – CT/X-Ray

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Imaging Technologist to produce high-quality diagnostic x-ray and CT images under physician and radiologist direction. You'll work the night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), Friday through Sunday, in a fast-paced imaging department serving a range of clinical needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Acquire and process high-quality x-ray and CT images of specified body areas
• Implement proper radiation protection protocols for all patients
• Manage exam orders and image release/transmission via PACS systems
• Perform, record, and analyze QC data to maintain diagnostic accuracy
• Conduct portable x-ray procedures for the Emergency Department and nursing units as requested
• Maintain equipment functionality through routine checks and environmental monitoring
• Transport patients safely and with care
• Recommend process improvements to enhance departmental efficiency
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient and staff experiences

Required Qualifications

• JRCERT-approved radiological training program completion or equivalent
• Current ARRT registration (R.T. credential)
• Current Iowa Radiologic Technologist Permit to Practice
• BLS certification
• CT certification preferred; willingness to obtain C.T. accreditation

Physical Demands

• Standing 7–8 hours per day; walking 6–7 hours per day
• Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching above shoulder level
• Lifting up to 50 lbs regularly; occasional awkward lifting up to 100+ lbs
• Fine dexterity and repetitive hand use throughout shift
