Medical-Surgical RN — Chattanooga, TN | Night Shift | 13-Week Contract

This Medical-Surgical unit provides care for a diverse adult patient population presenting with respiratory illnesses, renal disease, GI conditions, and other complex medical needs. The unit is supported by Clinical Coordinators, Unit Secretaries, PCTs, and Case Management, creating a collaborative care environment.

Shift & Schedule

• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week (48-hour guarantee available)
• 4 weekend shifts per 28-day schedule
• Holiday rotation required
• Float rotation with other unit staff

Contract Details

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start date: September 23, 2026

Clinical Scope

Candidates should have solid Medical-Surgical experience, including:

• Respiratory and renal disease management
• GI illness care
• Telemetry monitoring
• Central venous catheter (CVC) management
• Indwelling catheter care
• Heparin drip administration

Requirements

• Active RN license
• BLS certification
• Strong teamwork, communication, compassion, and collaboration skills

Additional Details

• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
• Patient experience initiatives include use of communication boards
